It is that time of the year again when we easily anthropomorphize our horses and forget that they are made to whit stand the cold weather. Dressing them up with three blankets inside and five outside is just not necessary.
Here are some thoughts that have been written down along the way on this matter. I just fell in love with this picture that someone posted on Katja Ståhl' s Facebook wall today. It says more than a thousand words.

ReplyDeleteKaveri just kirjoitteli samasta, heillä on kaksi vuonista, jotka asuvat pihatossa ja ovat niin elementissään näillä keleillä. Ja jotkut vielä ihmettelee, miksei niitä loimiteta. Toki (pohjoismaiset) kylmäverirodut on muutenkin asia erikseen paksuine talviturkkeineen, mutta hevonen on hevonen oli se minkä rotuinen tahansa. :)
Tää oli vaan jotenkin niin hauska ja kuvaava.:) Ja se on juuri näin: annetaan hevosten olla hevosia.:)
