Bella Grecia

Our absolutely gorgeous Kamaroti Hotel at Sifnos Island.

Kamaroti's own vegetable garden filled with lovely treats.

The lovely town of Kastro.

Daydreaming in Greece

Last week we stayed a few nights in Athens and then took the boat to the island of Sifnos in order to celebrate my friends wedding. We stayed at the Kamaroti Suites Hotel, owned by two Spaniards and it was absolutely fabulous. The service was friendly, the food ecological and hand-picked from their own garden and the rooms and whole hotel new and fresh with some lovely minor details. Since there were some problems with the booking we were upgraded to a suite so some luxury in the making.

We also visited the beautiful village Kastro, east of Apollonia and in Apollonia we found the lovely Veranda café. We left the café with two books from the author Tony Parsons and the owner vinked about the BookCrossing -site. What a lovely way to share the feeling of a book that has been read and held in the hands of others. As said on the site:

  1. Ihania kuvia! Varsinkin tuon "kuja" kuvan kohdalla tuli jotenkin niin kaipuu Kreikkaan, voi kun pääsisi taas joskus. Ihanat puitteet häille kyllä. :)
